Wasn't there an equally prominent issue of bad quality fuel (with water, or gasoline) thanks to the gas stations?
I will say this, as a TDI owner, it would be nice if the fuel system was a bit more robust and you didn't risk grenading the entire system if you run out of fuel or put in lower quality diesel, or high…
Anything made by VW with a TDI motor. Wagons preferably for added space, but a golf towing a teardrop would be perfection.

Same. But I was told to always button the top 2 (of a 3 button coat) or never button the bottom one. Unbutton when sitting, button up when standing for a nice trim fit/look.
